Obviously not mate

Well it does when stood still, but then jumps and sometimes won’t load

So am fitting in a separate head unit and amp so the original set up is kept in place
But only place it can live is the glove box,but atleast it not on show

I thought it may have worked but the owner wanted the functionality of a more modern one ....... So not so obvious as mine still works but am thinking of a second one as you can't choose your cd when in the car, only the ones in the CD cassette. Plus I would have modern radio.

Glove box is a good place ..... Yep, the only place

Well if yours is playing up this is a good way round the problem
And give you Bluetooth and I pod connecion
No mate, it's not playing up ..... Still plays perfect even over the bumps ..... But was thinking today that I could do with the radio channel for local radio (tragic news) and to have a CD player slot in the cabin to pop a new CD in without having to take the cassette out and change cd.
KIA has a stacker and a slot inside as did the CRV. So I keep fav CD's in the stacker but when I impulse purchase in a shop of petrol station I often do play it as opening the boot, eject the cassette, remember what cd is what, take it out and find the case, change it, put it back in and wait for it to reload. When it reloads it takes a while ..... So an additional one inside has some benefits whilst keeping the original

So it’s playing up then
No no no ..... It plays fine ..... Its just the hastle of having to change what's in the cassette to change music.

Also I sometimes like something compleat different, like some classical music but it's not what I want permanent in the CD cassette, or I may need to listen to a training CD that I don't want in the changer ..... But the radio is also quite a thing this time of year for traffic and weather news

So just to recap ..... My CD player plays and changes CD's perfectly fine, exactly as it did when it was fitted by you, it doesn't play up, skip, fail, error in any way at all, it is the cd player from heaven, built by the gods ..... But at times I would like some other features...... Think that covers it

Nice work on a really lovely car. The only facelift V8 I've ever heard of. Is it still on the original air struts?

When I came to install a stereo I intercepted the speaker wires and am running an amp in the boot connected to a bluetooth receiver to connect to my phone as I don't use CDs. Nice to leave the cars looking original.
